L’evento “Is AI redefining Art, Culture & Business?”
Networking, community e luoghi speciali
Rome Future Week® 2025 Goes International
From September 15 to 21, Rome will host the second edition of Rome Future Week®, the city’s largest distributed event on innovation. Over 350 events across the capital will explore how technology, creativity, and culture are reshaping our future.
The real novelty this year is the launch of an International Section, designed for Erasmus students, expats, professionals, diplomats, and global citizens living in Rome who want to access content in English and take part in the city’s innovation ecosystem.
For the first time, a series of talks, experiences, and networking moments will be entirely dedicated to international communities.
A city for the world
Rome has always been an international capital, a crossroads of cultures and a hub for organizations, embassies, universities, and academies from all over the world. Rome Future Week® aims to enhance this global fabric by creating opportunities for locals and internationals to meet, share ideas, and build visions of the future together.
This vision comes to life with “Welcome to Rome: a city for the world”, a networking aperitivo organized together with ICCROM, the International Organization for Cultural Heritage Conservation based in Rome. An event designed to bring together embassies, international institutions, academies, and universities, kick-starting a dialogue that will continue well beyond Rome Future Week®.
Expat entrepreneurship and new opportunities
One of the highlights will be “Building a Business in Rome: Expat Stories”, where international entrepreneurs and angel investors will share the challenges (and successes) of starting a business in Italy. Bureaucracy, taxes, cultural and linguistic barriers: real obstacles that often turn into stories of resilience. The event will close with a networking aperitivo to spark meaningful connections.
For those aiming even higher, the Startup Grind Global Pitch Battle will select winners to represent Rome at the European semifinals and potentially at the Silicon Valley finals. A global stage for startups dreaming of going beyond borders.
Young leaders and the diplomacy of the future
There will also be space to reflect on the role of the new generations in shaping global leadership. With the support of the Embassy of Brazil and associations like ENTER International, “The Revolution is of Age (or maybe not)” will explore how young people are redesigning power structures using digital tools, artificial intelligence, and intercultural approaches.
A unique opportunity to see how Rome can become an international laboratory for youth leadership.
Global creativity: AI, art and design
Creativity is a universal language, and Rome Future Week® will speak it fluently. “Is AI redefining Art, Culture & Business?” will explore how artificial intelligence is redefining the boundaries between artist and machine, between design and technology.
Art and immersive experiences will also be in focus, with “A Room for Peace”, a multisensory installation that invites participants into deep listening, offering a moment of intimacy in a world overwhelmed by conflict and overstimulation.
Science, innovation and sustainability
Rome will also host NanoInnovation 2025, the tenth edition of the major congress bringing together universities, research centers, and companies to discuss nanotechnology and its industrial applications. A true meeting point between Italian and international research.
On the sustainability front, the Teik.it Swap Shop will return, offering a space to exchange clothes, accessories, and home items, promoting circular economy and reducing waste. A format already embraced by international communities attentive to sustainable lifestyles.
Networking, communities and unique locations
Many of the international events are not just conferences but networking opportunities. From the Professional Women’s Association Aperitivo in the elegant Villa Spalletti Trivelli, to meetups with Erasmus students and international communities hosted in various Roman universities.
Even the venues become symbols of intercultural dialogue: from historic villas and university halls to contemporary innovation hubs.
Your Passport to Rome Future Week®
To make it easier for internationals to navigate the festival, Rome Future Week® launches the Future Week Passport. A free digital booklet (A4 format) that you can download and print, it will be your personal guide through the English-friendly program. At each event, ask the staff to stamp your Passport and track your journey across the city. Find out more about how to apply.
A party to feel at home in Rome
Alongside the official program, Rome Future Week® will also host an International Networking Party, a major gathering of expats and Italians, organized with the support of our International Ambassador. An informal celebration of the city’s global spirit — and a way to make everyone feel at home in Rome.
Why attend?
The International Section ofRome Future Week® is not just an addition to the program: it’s a clear message. Rome is a city that welcomes, that listens, and that wants to play a role in global challenges. Whether it’s startups, sustainability, creativity, or leadership, the Eternal City confirms itself as a crossroads of ideas and cultures.
